Dive into the crystal-clear waters of Silfra, a breathtaking fissure where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Surrounded by glacial water, it offers unparalleled visibility, creating a truly magical snorkeling experience.

Glide through the four mesmerizing sections of Silfra, from the colorful Silfra Hall to the stunning Silfra Cathedral, where you'll feel like you're soaring above volcanic canyons and submerged boulders in this otherworldly underwater landscape.

Located in Thingvellir National Park, part of Iceland’s iconic Golden Circle, this is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that lets you snorkel between two continents.

Requirements

• All participants must be able to swim and feel comfortable in water.
• The minimum age for snorkeling is 12 years old and for diving 18 years old.
•  All participants must fall within our size range of 150-200 cm in height and 45-120 kg in weight.
•  Being able to communicate in English. 

What to Bring:

• Long underwear
• Thick socks
• Weather-appropriate clothing
• Contact lenses (if you wear glasses)

There is a minimum trip size for this tour. If the minimum number is not reached this tour may include non PAM conference attendees or an alternative tour may be offered. If this tour reaches maximum capacity, additional tour dates or times will be added.

Pick-Up: Your driver will meet you at a central  location in Reykjavik (to be confirmed closer to tour date) 

Briefing & Gear-Up: Receive a safety briefing and get suited up in your gear (approximately 1 hour).

Group Number Assigned: The park ranger will provide your entry number for the water.

Entry: Head to the entry platform and prepare for your underwater adventure (short wait).

In the Water: Spend 30-45 minutes exploring the stunning beauty of Silfra’s crystal-clear waters.

Exit & Warm-Up: Walk back to the meeting point (approximately 250 meters), remove your gear, and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies to warm up.

Wrap-Up: Chat with your guide, ask any questions, and check out the photos from your tour.

Drop-Off: Your driver will return you to your location in Reykjavik.
